The minimum age for the purpose to apply for this post is 18 years, and the maximum period is 40 years as in 19th January 2018.
The candidates who belong to the OC/OBC male are required to deposit Rs.100/- at any Head Office. The candidate needs to visit personally at any Head Post Office to make the payment.

The candidates who fulfil the criteria for eligibility can apply online need to register their name.
The minimum qualification for this post is 10th Class pass from the approved state boards by the respective State Govt. The candidate who has cleared the matric examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those who passed compartmentally.
The candidate requires a necessary computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized computer training institute. The document can be from Central/State Government University/Board etc. will be accepted for this purpose.
The candidate gets relaxation for the certificate which has studied computer as a subject in class X or XII or higher qualification as a subject. He/she must provide a receipt for that as a proof.

Selection Procedure of India Post GraminDakSevak Results
There is no written examination or interview will be conducted by the board to select the candidates. As per the appostrecruitment 2017 the selection of the candidates’ academic merit secured in the 10th class.
The selection and appointment of the candidates are based on the automatic generated Merit List according to the rules based on the total number of applications submitted.
To make the selection of high-quality standard, percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be taken for the final selection.
If the two candidates scored in the 10th exam, the merit would be based on their Date of Birth.

The applicants who have applied and got the name in GraminDak Sevak merit list and selected that need to deposit an amount of Rs.25000/- as security. This amount is for his/her engagement for the post of BPM and Rs.10000/- for other categories.
The security will be deposited in the form of Fidelity Guarantee bond or National Saving Certificate which requires a pledge to the Department of Posts in the name of the President of India (Current).
The candidates who are selected for this post are required to arrange the accommodation within 30 days near the branch office village and notify the authority. The housing has to be borne by the candidate.

SMS for Provisional Selection
